Round Table Discussions
BareMetal Data World is the annual conference of the BareMetal Data organization. It provides an opportunity for members to share ideas formally through presentations and round table discussions, and also informally through self organized meetings and organized social events.

This year's conference will ibe held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee on October 8-9, 2009.

Impressions of Previous Conferences

"make sure to make your travel plans for this years conference so you don’t miss the educational aspects of what’s current in our industry and the greatest data security networking opportunity you can have"

Eric Haas, ARMS Records Management. Greenbay WI

"I always come away with tons of food for thought and thoroughly energized about our industry. This year was different in that the big players (IM, Cintas) played an active role in the conference; I thought that they provided valuable insight as to where the tape vaulting business is headed and things to consider in growing our businesses. I always appreciate the fact that extremely intelligent people are willing to share their knowledge and wisdom."

David Young Jr, Security Business Archives Richmond, VA

"If you missed the conference you missed a great time of knowledge sharing, great networking, lots of good food and some ugly golf."

Chris R. Kelley, DataChambers Records Management Winston-Salem, NC

2008 Highlights

Last year's key note speaker was Mr. Fred Moore from Horison Information Strategies who is an industry leader in data use forecasting. In addition to his formal presentation Mr. Moore also ran a workshop session dealing with the challenges of the future.

2009 Highlights

After the success of previous year's round table sessions we have chosen to have a session with informal round table discussions again at this years conference. These sessions give delegates the opportunity to particate and discuss topics of interest to the IndustryConference Sessions with industry peers in an environment that is less formal that the panel or presentation format.

Other topics to be presented/discussed include:

  • Swine Flu
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Getting ready to backup to the Cloud
  • eDiscovery
  • Sales
  • Insurance
  • Web Marketing
  • Panel discussions

We all know that all work and no play makes for a dull conference, so along with the obligatory golf day we will also be having a welcoming reception and our annual dinner.  There will also be plenty of other opportunities to unwind and enjoy the company of other conference delegates.
